LONDON — Energy and marine consultancy ABL Group has acquired well control services specialist HOSE International.
Since 2019 the two companies have jointly provided rig and well control inspection services to the offshore industry. HOSE International’s UK business will become part of ABL’s global operations.
HOSE, which was established, performs well control equipment inspection, verification, assurance and project support during rig selection, intake and maintenance periods.
To date, it has conducted about 2,300 inspections on more than 700 drilling rigs, including well control equipment reactivations, overhauls and recertification, end-of-well and between-well maintenance periods, drilling failures, modifications and upgrades.
ABL provides rig selection, reactivation assurance, newbuild delivery and preservation inspection to rig owners and operators, helping them to ensure regulatory compliance.
