LYNGBY, Denmark – Shell has awarded Maersk Drilling contracts to supply the drillship Maersk Voyager for operations in various countries.
The contracts should start later this month, with a total firm duration of one year and an estimated total value of around $107.5 million, including a mobilization fee.
Maersk Drilling and Shell have agreed to implement the RigFlow solution delivered by Maersk Drilling subsidiary Horizon56.
This is said to standardize and digitalize the core workflows involved in well construction, including real-time exchange of information between onshore planning units, the offshore drilling teams, and service companies supporting operations. Last year, the Maersk Voyager drilled an exploration well for TotalEnergies offshore Angola in a world-record water depth.
