TEHRAN, Iran – Pars Oil and Gas Co. has spudded an extension appraisal well on the northern part of the South Pars gas field in the Persian Gulf.
According to news service Shana, the SP-16 well will help the company assess the field’s northern extent and prospectivity in areas outside the current blocks of the field.
Three more wells are planned for evaluation purposes.
