    Wintershall books Swift jackup for North Sea well abandonments

    Wintershall Noordzee has awarded Swift Drilling a long-term contract for the jackup Swift 10 to perform a P&A campaign in the Dutch and German sectors of the North Sea.

    SLIEDRECHT, Holland – Wintershall Noordzee has awarded Swift Drilling a long-term contract for the jackup Swift 10 to perform a P&A campaign in the Dutch and German sectors of the North Sea.

    The contract is expected to start this summer with a potential duration of three to four years.

    Delivered in 2011, the Swift 10 is a 300-ft (91.4-m) Gusto MSC SEA-2750 fully automated drilling rig.
