BSP contracts Maersk drillship for offshore Brunei well

Brunei Shell Petroleum has contracted the drillship Maersk Viking for a deepwater exploration well offshore Brunei Darussalam.

LYNGBY, Denmark – Brunei Shell Petroleum has contracted the drillship Maersk Viking for a deepwater exploration well offshore Brunei Darussalam.
Operator Maersk Drilling expects the 35-day program to start in March 2021.
The contract includes an option for an additional well.
The Maersk Viking, delivered in 2013, is presently warm-stacked in Johor, Malaysia, after completing a drilling campaign earlier this year in the Bay of Bengal.
