Tullow Oil appoints interim CEO/CFO

Feb. 4, 2025
Following Tullow Oil's Dec. 5 announcement of CEO Rahul Dhir's departure, the company has now appointed an interim CEO and CFO while they continue the search for a permanent CEO.

Tullow Oil Plc has appointed Richard Miller interim CEO and CFO, effective Feb. 14.

Miller was named CFO and executive director of Tullow on Jan. 1, 2023. Prior to that, he had been acting as interim CFO since April 2022. He first joined the company as group financial controller in August 2011.

The company announced current CEO Rahul Dhir's departure from this role on Dec. 5, 2024. He will step down from the board Feb. 14 of this year, but he will remain available to the business until his notice period ends on June 5.

Tullow appointed Dhir as CEO and an executive director of the group in July 2020.

The company says the process to find a new permanent CEO is "progressing well."

Dhir said, "It's been a privilege to serve Tullow and work with so many talented colleagues. With a strong pan-African platform and an improving balance sheet, Tullow is well-positioned as a trusted partner and responsible operator in Africa to deliver the next phase of growth."
