YORK, UK – C-Kore Systems has introduced a new subsea testing tool, the C-Kore sensor monitor.
This can be deployed for decommissioning, subsea fault-finding and construction to provide feedback from subsea sensors such as wellhead pressures and temperatures, even if a subsea datalink is not available.
During decommissioning or construction, the device can be used to ensure wellhead pressures are within safe limits for divers, C-Kore added, and to prevent accidental release of hydrocarbons into the environment.
In fault-finding mode, it can diagnose faulty sensors without use of downlines, dispensing with unnecessary or costly sensor change-outs.
The device can take automated reading of subsea sensors quickly and does not require any subsea infrastructure or downlines to operate.
