    Trelleborg receives first drill riser buoyancy order from HHI

    Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in Korea has awarded Trelleborg’s offshore operation a first order for drill riser buoyancy modules (DRBMs) and riser protection.

    HOUSTON– Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in Korea has awarded Trelleborg’s offshore operation a first order for drill riser buoyancy modules (DRBMs) and riser protection.

    To reduce a drilling riser’s net weight in water, and to ensure that the structure and drilling vessel are supported, Trelleborg offers a range of DRBMs, fitted around the length of the riser pipe, improving the riser’s buoyancy and protecting it from service damage.
