ABERDEEN, UK --Norson Power has won contracts to supply hydraulic systems to two Technip subsea construction vessels.
The first order, awarded by Aberdeen diving and subsea equipment specialist Divex, involved the supply, installation, and commissioning of hydraulic power units, cylinders, control systems, and electrical interfaces to the diving support vesselSkandi Achiever.
As a follow-on, Divex contracted Technip to upgrade a pipelay ramp tensioner hydraulic system on theApache, and to supply other equipment for DSVs owned by Technip and Subsea 7. The total value of these contracts is close to £1.5 million ($2.98 million).
