Offshore staff
BEDFORDSHIRE, UK -- Varley Pumps, a division of the Hayward Tyler Group, has received an order from Inovatif Erat Sdn Bhd in Malaysia for three closed drain transfer pumps for a platform in the South China Sea.
Aker Kvaerner designed the facility and Sime Darby Engineering is fabricating it. Offshore between Malaysia and Vietnam, Bunga Orkid-A Central Processing Platform is part of the Bunga Orkid Development operate by Talisman Malaysia Ltd.
The order consists of two off-CDT pumps delivering 5 cu m (177 cu ft)/hour at a pressure of 10 bar (1 MPa), and one CDT pump delivering 31 cu m (1,095 cu ft)/hour at a pressure of 6 bar (0.6 MPa). All the three pumps are fabricated from super duplex stainless steel and meet API specs.
