Completion equipment has been installed on the Longtom-4 development well in the Gippsland basin, offshore Victoria, according to Nexus Energy.

MELBOURNE, Australia -- Completion equipment has been installed on the Longtom-4 development well in the Gippsland basin, offshore Victoria, according to Nexus Energy.
Since last week, the 7-in. (18-cm) liner has successfully been run to total depth and has been cemented in place, the company says. The forward program is to run the completion equipment into the well and perform a wellbore cleanup and production test. The well will then be suspended as a future gas producer, awaiting connection to the pipeline later this year.
