HOUSTON – Anadarko Petroleum (NYSE:APC) has contracted BMT Scientific Marine Services to provide an environmental and platform response monitoring system and an independent remote monitoring system for the Heidelberg spar in the Gulf of Mexico.
The EPRMS monitors, logs, and displays data in real-time to provide operational support and to archive data for assessing facility integrity over time.
The IRMS transmits key environmental and platform response data to shore when the facility is evacuated. The IRMS provides data, surveillance imagery, and video feeds in near-real time to allow the operator to observe the asset during periods of unmanned operation.
