ABERDEEN, UK– OEG Offshore has introduced its new DNV 2.7-1 compliant 550 gallon multi-purpose tank.
The new tank was designed to provide safer handling and storage of hazardous fluids in transit to and from offshore or on the rig or platform. The company says the corrosive resistant tank has a compact and robust design as well as the smallest footprint and the highest payload in the industry.
Rob Goodall, vice president of business development, stated: “OEG has gone back to basics and designed the new product incorporating valuable customer feedback and operational experience into the tank which meets and exceeds DNV 2.7-1, EN 12079, IMO/MSC Circular 860, API RP 2A and Shell OPS0055 industry standards.”
The company says the new tank incorporates the world’s only polyethylene intermediate bulk container (IBC) to meet UN/DOT certification standards for industrial packaging group II and III materials in a shipping capacity greater than 330 gallons. It can store corrosive chemicals, acids (including hydrochloric and sulphuric) and solvents that are compatible with polyethylene.
