Kenzfigee supplying Ram Luffing crane for Norfolk wind farm converter station

Aker Solutions has ordered an offshore pedestal crane from KenzFigee for Vattenfall’s Norfolk Vanguard West offshore wind farm development in the North Sea.

An Offshore Ram Luffing type crane is on the Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) substation.

ZAANDAN, the Netherlands — Aker Solutions has ordered an offshore pedestal crane from KenzFigee for Vattenfall’s Norfolk Vanguard West offshore wind farm development in the UK southern North Sea.

The supply scope covers an electric hydraulic box boom offshore Ram Luffing 2400 type with a SWL of 20 t, engineered for installation on the Norfolk Vanguard HVDC converter station offshore Norfolk.

The crane will be designed and verified in accordance with EN13852-1 and certified to DNVGL-ST-0378 lifting requirements, with a focus on reliability and low maintenance, and it will be assembled and tested at KenzFigee’s premises. It is due to be delivered next summer.
