Shell lengthens Aker Solutions Nyhamna M&M contract

FORNEBU, Norway — Norske Shell has taken up an option to extend Aker Solutions’ brownfield modifications services and maintenance contract for the Nyhamna gas processing plant in Aukra on Norway’s west coast by four years to September 2028.

Shell is technical service provider to Norway’s gas trunklines operator Gassco. Nyhamna handles gas exported from the deepwater Ormen Lange Field in the Norwegian Sea and is also connected to the subsea Polarled pipeline.

Aker Solutions has executed projects and provided services to Nyhamna since 2007. The processed gas is transported to the UK.
