NEWCASTLE & HOUSTON — TechnipFMC has been awarded an integrated engineering, procurement, construction and installation (iEPCI) contract by Shell for its Dover development in the Gulf of Mexico (GoM).

TechnipFMC says the contract is valued between $75 million and $250 million.

TechnipFMC will supply the subsea tree systems in addition to the EPCI of the umbilical, riser and flowline systems. The Dover development will tie back to the Appomattox platform, where TechnipFMC previously supplied and installed the subsea production systems.

Shell Offshore Inc., a subsidiary of Shell Plc, announced in mid-March the final investment decision for Dover, a planned subsea tieback to the Shell-operated Appomattox production hub in the GoM. Dover is expected to start production in late 2024-early 2025 and produce up to 21,000 boe/d at peak rates.
