Moreld Apply secures topside modifications contract with Aker BP

STAVANGER, Norway — Moreld Apply has been awarded a contract by Aker BP for the Edvard Grieg topside modification EPCI, which forms part of the Utsira High tiebacks project.

The purpose of the contract is to execute the required topside modifications for the following tieback fields to Edvard Grieg: Solveig Phase 2, Troldhaugen and Symra.

Moreld Apply said it estimates the contract to be significant, which at peak will employ more than 100 people.

The EPCI contract was an option when Moreld Apply was awarded the FEED contract to plan the modifications in detail in 2022.

The engineering work will start immediately, while the first offshore activities are expected in autumn 2023. The project is estimated to be completed in 2025.
