MISC enters three carbon capture MoUs

MISC has signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Mitsui, Samsung Heavy Industries and Andritz to investigate carbon capture and storage (CCS) opportunities in the maritime sector.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia  MISC has signed memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with Mitsui, Samsung Heavy Industries and Andritz to investigate carbon capture and storage (CCS) opportunities in the maritime sector.

The scope includes identifying storage hubs, development of floating solutions, and carbon capture parts and equipment.

Under the MoU with Mitsui, the parties will assess potential CCS hubs and the commercial and technical viability of CCS solutions.

The partnership with Samsung covers joint development of EPC opportunities for floating CO2 solutions to support offshore CCS projects.

With Andritz, MISC will examine the application and optimization of carbon capture technologies and the execution of EPCIC of CCS systems for marine and land-based applications.
