Swire Group’s wind turbine maintenance division Swire Renewable Energy (SRE) has agreed to acquire Rope Access Sverige, a Swedish blade repair specialist, according to a Dec. 6 company news release.

SRE is looking to grow its capability for offshore and onshore wind inspection, repair and maintenance in the UK and Europe.

The deal follows prior acquisitions in the past year of WPS in Sweden, Altitec Blade Services in the UK, and Obelisk in South Africa and Ireland.

Solna-based Rope Access Sverige performs blade inspections and repairs, on-site blade operations management and safety training.
