SOCHI, Russia – Rosneft and Eni have agreed to extend their cooperation in the upstream, refining, marketing and trading sectors.
The two companies’ CEOs, Igor Sechin and Claudio Descalzi, signed a document in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni. This reinforces previous agreements signed in 2012 to drill exploration wells jointly in theBarents Sea and the Western Black Sea license area.
The cooperation covers joint E&P of hydrocarbons in Russia and elsewhere, and collaboration in technology and innovation. They will also consider further expansion of their international cooperation, including theZohr project offshore Egypt.
