LARNACA, Cypress – The Cotemar group has awarded the Prosafe offshore support vessel Safe Regency a bareboat contract, worth $86 million, from January 27, 2014, to December 31, 2017. The Safe Regency is operating in the Gulf of Mexico.
The semisubmersible was built in 1982 at theKeppel FELS yard in Singapore to a Pacesetter design. It has an eight-point thruster-assisted mooring system with four 2.4-MW azimuthing thrusters capable of maintaining position in harsh environments.
TheSafe Regency has 644 beds; 88 workstations; and large crane capacity, suitable for construction, commissioning, and remedial work.
