LIVINGSTON, UK – TAQA has contracted Asset Guardian Solutions to provide its software management toolset for use on the operator’s offshore facilities in the UK northern and central North Sea.
These include five platforms handling production from 13 fields.
Asset Guardian’s approach is said to ensure that backups of new and modified software are securely stored and are easy to access from any location, reducing downtime caused by a potential process system software failure.
The contractor will also help TAQA to electronically migrate its existing process control software files and data into Asset Guardian, and provide online computer-based training for the operator’s personnel.
