MOSCOW – Rosneft has issued a progress report on the deepwater Zohr gas development in the Egyptian sector of the Mediterranean Sea, where production started at the end of last year.
Currently six development wells have been commissioned, raising gas output to 31.5 MMcm/d.
Four lines of the gas treatment facility (GTF) are in operation, the last one coming onstream in late July, in addition to the early production line which allows the maximum gas treatment capacity to be raised to 49.5 MMcm/d.
This capacity should be reached shortly following commissioning of the second gas export pipeline from the field to GTF. Later this year, the fifth process train of the GTF should be launched as further production wells enter service.
