TOKYO – MODEC says the FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29 has produced first oil for Petrobras from the Tartaruga Verde field in the Campos basin offshore Brazil.
The vessel, leased on a 20-year time charter contract, is moored roughly 125 km (77.7 mi) offshore Macaé, Rio de Janeiro state, in water depths of 765 m (2,510 ft).
It has capacity to process 150,000 b/d of crude, compress 176 MMcf/d of gas, and to store 1.6 MMbbl of oil.
MODEC’s duties covered engineering, procurement, construction, mobilization and installation of the vessel and its topsides processing equipment and hull. The company’s subsidiary SOFEC designed and supplied the spread mooring.
This is the 12th FPSO MODEC has delivered to the Brazilian sector.
