SINGAPORE– Sembcorp Marine has completed three integrated fixed platform topsides the Total-operated high-pressure/high-temperature (HP/HT) Culzean gas field in the UK central North Sea.
The wellhead, utilities and living quarters, and central processing facility topsides were constructed at theSembcorp Marine Admiralty Yard over 32 months.
The approximately 30,000-metric tons integrated topsides will handle up to 500 MMscf/d of gas and 25,000 b/d of condensate.
The wellhead platform and central processing facility left Singapore for the Culzean field in early May; the utilities and living quarters is expected to leave soon.
In addition, a power generation module and two interconnecting bridges, which form part of the integrated topsides, were separately completed at Sembcorp Marine subsidiary Sembmarine SLP in Lowestoft, UK, for delivery in June.
The fixed platform topsides join theFSOAilsa and high-specification jackup rigMaersk Highlander in a comprehensive suite of Sembcorp Marine engineering solutions for the Culzean field.
Recently delivered to MODEC, the FSOAilsa is expected to set sail for the Culzean field next month; while the Maersk Highlander, completed in 2016, is already deployed there.
Culzean, discovered in 2008, is about 250 km (155 mi) east of Aberdeen in license block 22/25a. Water depth is 88 m (289 ft) with the reservoir around 4,300 m (14,107 ft) below sea level.
First gas is expected in 2019.
Total’s joint venture partners are BP and JX Nippon.
