IPC eyes tieback potential for Keruing offshore Malaysia

International Petroleum Corp. plans to drill the Keruing prospect offshore Peninsular Malaysia later this year.

VANCOUVER, Canada – International Petroleum Corp. (IPC) plans to drill the Keruing prospect offshore Peninsular Malaysia later this year, subject to regulatory approval and rig contract negotiations.
The company estimates prospective resources at up to 7.2 MMboe gross.
The Keruing prospect is 2 km (1.2 mi) from theBertam field production facilities and could be tied back if the outcome of the well is successful.
IPC has also identified candidate prospects for a next phase of infill drilling at Bertam next year.
