SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy –Eni has completed ramp-up of the Ochigufu field in block 15/06 offshore Angola, reaching the production plateau of 24,000 b/d less than two months from start-up.
This result allows the operated production from block 15/06 to be stable above 150,000 b/d, and is in line with the goal of adding 54,000 b/d to the block’s production by 2019.
The Ochigufu field is in 1,300 m (4,265 ft) of water depth, 150 km (93.2 mi) west of Soyo and 380 km (236 mi) northwest of Luanda.
The Ochigufu wells are connected to the Sangos production system and from there to the FPSON’Goma in the West Hub of block 15/06.
Block 15/06 is operated by Eni with a 36.84% share, in partnership with Sonangol Pesquisa e Produção (36.84%) and SSI Fifteen Ltd. (26.32%).
In the Egyptian sector of the Mediterranean Sea, Eni has started up the third production unit (T-2) of theZohr project, increasing the installed capacity to 1.2 bcf/d. The third unit started up one week after the second unit (T-1).
Eni expects ramp-up to continue to 2 bcf/d by the end of 2018, and to a plateau of 2.7 bcf/d in 2019.
In the Shorouk block, Eni holds a 60% stake, Rosneft 30%, and BP 10% of the contractor’s share (where Eni, Rosneft, and BP are collectivity the contractor).
The project is executed by Petrobel, the operating company jointly held by Eni and the state corporation Egyptian General Petroleum Corp., on behalf of Petroshorouk, jointly held by the contractor (Eni and its partners) and the state company EGAS.
