MOSCOW – The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has completed the plan approval documentation review for Lukoil’s Rakushechnoye oil and gas field development in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea.

The planned facilities − an ice-resistant fixed platform, living quarter platforms, and three subsea pipelines – will be constructed under RS’ technical supervision.

After commissioning has finished, the facilities and production will be connected to the unified pipeline system and power supply currently serving Lukoil’s offshore Yuri Korchagin andVladimir Filanovsky oil fields.

Rakushechnoye was discovered in 2001 and is close to Filanovsky.

In 2015, Lukoil drilled a follow-up exploration well to re-classify the field’s reserves, and the following year the company awarded a front-end engineering design contract for the offshore facilities.
