STOCKHOLM– Lundin Norway is looking to re-start production shortly from the Brynhild field in the Norwegian North Sea.
The field has been shut-in since last July because of a flow restriction in the pipeline between the Brynhild subsea wells and the host Haewene Brim FPSO in UK waters.
The restriction was caused by an oil-water emulsion that developed in the pipeline due to a failure of the subsea emulsion inhibitor chemical injection system.
Operations to clear the obstruction are progressing. Lundin and Shell have also agreed to revise the processing and operations service terms.
