THE HAGUE, the Netherlands – Tulip Oil Netherlands Offshore has committed to develop the Q10 gas field in the Dutch North Sea.

The main facilities will comprise an unmanned offshore platform (Q10-A) with a pipeline tieback to the TAQA-operated P15d platform to the southeast.

The main components of the project will be performed under EPCI contracts, with Allseas responsible for pipelay and Heerema for the production platform.

A Paragon rig will drill the development wells, with first gas scheduled for 2019.

Dutch state-owned company Energie Beheer Nederland is Tulip’s partner in the project.

The Q10 gas field was discovered in 2015, 20 km (12.4 mi) offshore in shallow water. The Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs awarded Tulip a 60% operated interest in the production license for the Q7/Q10a blocks last July, in partnership with Energie Beheer Nederland.
