OSLO, Norway – The converted floating LNG vesselHilli Episeyo has arrived in Cameroon following a seven-week voyage from Singapore.

According to co-ownerGolar LNG, hook-up and connection to risers and umbilicals at the offshore site is under way.

For commissioning purposes, a ship-to-ship transfer of LNG will be conducted followed by the start of the full commissioning process.

Golar foresees production of first commercial LNG around year-end, with final commissioning completed during the latter part of 1Q 2018.

In Brazil, Golar Power has formalized an agreement to provide the newSergipe power project with a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) for 25 years.

This involves a time charter party and operating services agreement for theGolar Nanook, which remains on track for delivery in September 2018, with commissioning activities to follow offshore Sergipe in early to mid-2019.

Golar is also pursuing various projects for the FSRU conversion candidateGolar Celsius, and is shortlisting yards for the program. The company’s focus is on more profitable integrated gas to power projects where barriers to entry are said to be higher.
