ABERDEEN, UK – Premier Oil has contracted Wood Group to provide topsides operations and maintenance services at the Balmoral floating production vessel (FPV) in the UK central North Sea and the Solan platform, west of Shetland.
The two-year, $50-million deal carries three one-year extension options. It will allow Wood Group to secure more than 150 jobs and extends the company’s support of Premier Oil on the UK shelf.
It began delivering operations, maintenance, and engineering services to theBalmoralFPV in 2012.

The award is independent from Wood Group’s provision of fabric maintenance services to theBalmoral FPV, which it has undertaken since 2014.
