HOUSTON -- Mariner Energy's Bass Lite deepwater Gulf of Mexico project is onstream. The two-well subsea project in 6,750 ft (2,057 m) of water in Atwater Valley block 426 is tied back to the Devil's Tower spar.
The current gross production rate of 60 MMcfe/d (1.7 MMcme/d) of gas is currently limited by the production system designed to achieve early production while further system upgrades of the topside facilities continue. The project is expected to produce at full capacity later in 2008, once the topside work has been completed.
