Zhenjiang Jiangsu Shipyard has contracted Huisman to provide a 100-mt pedestal mounted crane to Eastern Navigation, which operates support vessel fleets in the Asia-Pacific offshore energy sector.

It will be the fifth such crane Huisman has supplied for the fleet. Existing 300-mt and 100-mt versions have been operating for several years, with another 100-mt crane under construction due to be delivered in mid-2025.

Huisman’s scope of work for the new order covers engineering, production, installation and testing at its production facility in Xiamen, China, including a fully enclosed crane house for equipment protection.

Features of the design include a compact tail swing, fatigue-resistant construction for heavy-duty application, an upgraded SCADA control system for monitoring and operation, and improved crane cabin ergonomics.
