FSRU Toscana offshore Italy back in service

Following repairs, the FSRU has been reconnected to Italy’s national gas network.

OLT Offshore LNG Toscana has resumed full operations at the FSRU Toscana terminal offshore western Italy.

Following repairs at a yard in southern France, the FSRU was recently re-installed at the offshore location and reconnected to Italy’s national gas network.

Maintenance concluded in recent days, and the facility has since received a first cargo of LNG.

The terminal can accommodate cargoes of up to 165,000 cu m with a 5% operational tolerance on discharge). Its regasification capacity is fully booked at 100% until 2026/2027.

OLT Offshore LNG Toscana, a joint venture between Snam and Igneo Infrastructure Partners, owns and manages the FSRU which is stationed 22 km offshore Livorno and Pisa, and connected to the national grid through a 36.5-km pipeline, operated by Snam.

Its maximum authorized regasification capacity is 5 bcm/yr.
