ÅLESUND Norway — Norwind Offshore has ordered an ECMC 7t-3D crane from Seaonics for the Norwind Helm newbuild construction support offshore vessel.
The crane will be installed at Vard Brattvaag later this year, in addition to the ECMC gangway with integrated 3D crane that Seaonics is already delivering to the same vessel.
The ECMC crane should be commissioned during the summer.
According to Seaonics, the control technology for the active motion compensation is proven in offshore wind operations. The boom control, slew control and telescope control are all electrically driven and dynamically operated to perform the 3D compensation of the crane tip.
