SHARJAH, UAE – Lamprell has completed the upgrade of the mobile operating unit Haven as an accommodation service vessel for use at the Johan Sverdrup field development in the Norwegian North Sea.
The fabricator delivered the unit to Jacktel, a subsidiary of Master Marine.
The program involved procurement, construction, and installation of extended legs and new suction caissons.
Lamprell fabricated the leg sections and caissons at its Hamriyah yard and the newly-constructed rig components were then installed on theHaven in Norway, prior to completing the final 48-hour jacking trial.
TheHaven will be used to accommodate up to 400 personnel during offshore installation and commissioning activities at Johan Sverdrup Phase 1.
