Statoil has taken the semisub Stena Don on a three-year hire from Stena Drilling for various programs on the Norwegian shelf.

STAVANGER, Norway -- Statoil has taken the semisub Stena Don on a three-year hire from Stena Drilling for various programs on the Norwegian shelf. The contract value is $437 million.
The rig was on a long-term contract for Statoil from 2001 until late 2009. Statoil says the rig will play an important role in reaching its production targets offshore Norway.
