ABERDEEN, UK –Veripos has introduced a new inertially aided solution for dynamically positioned vessels that it says combines the latest GNSS positioning technology advances with high integrity inertial measurements.
Developed along with Sonardyne International, the new system, named Verify Axiom, seamlessly integrates Veripos GNSS with Sonardyne’s inertial technologies to overcome disruptions by ionospheric irregularities and physical obstructions as well as detecting position outliers due to common mode failures.
The core component of Verify Axiom is Sonardyne’s IMO-approved Lodestar Attitude and Heading Reference System and Inertial Navigation System which outputs precise position, velocity, and attitude in dynamic conditions without any need for external support inputs or vessel maneuvers, says Veripos.
