SHARJAH, UAE – Lamprell has delivered the converted accommodation support vessel MOS Frontier (formerly a jackup rig) to Millennium Offshore Services.
This was the yard’s largest-ever rig conversion/refurbishment project. However, the fabricator now expects a tail-off in its rig conversion/refurbishment activity over the remainder of this year.
Its next major delivery period starts in November with the planned handover of a secondnewbuild rig for the Caspian Sea, currently in the commissioning phase.
During the five-month period following completion of this rig, the company expects to hand over four more newbuildjackups.
