OSLO -- Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) has awarded Aker Solutions a $105 million drilling equipment contract for a new semisubmersible drilling rig.
The scope of work is to deliver a complete drilling equipment package including installation and commissioning supervision. The semisubmersible drilling rig is scheduled for delivery in 2Q 2011.
