PARIS– In 2011, BOURBON entered a five-year charter agreement with CGG for a series of six new seismic support vessels. Two years later, the Bourbon Petrel and the Bourbon Fulmar are now in service.

Equipped with hybrid propulsion, these two vessels are operating in the Black Sea and offshore northern Europe. A third vessel, theBourbon Gannet, will also be operational in the near future.

The Bourbon Petrel currently supports the CGG Symphony seismic vessel in the Black Sea, carrying out refueling operations, inline bunkering, towing operations, and crew rotations. The Bourbon Fulmar assists the Viking Vanquish, a seismic vessel operating in northern European waters.

The Grandweld Shipyard in Dubai is building the vessels, and delivery of the remaining sister ships is scheduled for 2014.
