Farstad secures charters off Australia

Farstad Shipping ASA has won several charter contracts in Australia.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Farstad Shipping ASA has won several charter contracts in Australia.

ConocoPhillips Australia Exploration has issued a letter of intent for the anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTS)Far Sirius and the AHTS Far Saracen to support its upcoming Barossa drilling campaign. This campaign is due to begin next month.

The INPEX-led Ichthys LNG Project has extended the contract for the AHTSFar Sword for an additional 17 months starting on March 31, 2018.

McDermott Australia has awarded the platform supply vesselFar Seeker a contract for a period of 40 days firm plus 40 days options. The contract is due to commence this month.

McDermott Australia also has awarded two AHTS vessels contracts to assist with the mooring operations of theINPEX-led Ichthys LNG Project’s central processing facility and FPSO. This is due to begin in 2Q 2017.

The commercial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
