Lamprell to convert accommodation vessel for Johan Sverdrup

Master Marine subsidiary Jacktel has contracted Lamprell to upgrade the mobile operating unit Haven as an accommodation service vessel for the Johan Sverdrup project in the Norwegian North Sea.

SHARJAH, UAE – Master Marine subsidiary Jacktel has contracted Lamprell to upgrade the mobile operating unit Haven as an accommodation service vessel for the Johan Sverdrup project in the Norwegian North Sea.

The work scope includes procurement, construction, and installation of extended legs and new suction caissons, to be fabricated at Lamprell’s Hamriyah yard in the UAE.

Following transportation of the constructed rig components to Norway, Lamprell will assemble and install them on theHaven in collaboration with local construction service provider, Coast Centre Base.

The value of the contract is around $90 million. The program is expected to be completed by spring 2018.
