DUBAI, UAE – Drydocks World has completed the fifth and final module for the turret mooring system for Shell’s Prelude floating LNG (FLNG) vessel.
This will serve the Prelude gas field offshore northwest Australia.
The turret is almost 100 m (328 ft) tall, with a diameter of 26 m (85 ft), and weighs more than 11,000 tons. It is designed to ensure the vessel operates safely even during extreme weather conditions.
