Saipem has received the go-ahead from NOPSEMA that the Castorone vessel resume pipelay for Woodside Energy’s Scarborough gas field development offshore Australia.
MILAN, Italy — Saipem has received the go-ahead from NOPSEMA, Australia’s National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority, that the Castorone vessel resume pipelay for Woodside Energy’s Scarborough gas field development offshore Western Australia.
Work had to be suspended on Jan. 30 due to the vessel reportedly losing control of the pipeline.
Saipem said it is working closely with its client on a safe restart.
