STOREBØ, Norway — Subsea7 has agreed to a time charter with DOF Group for the subsea construction vessel Skandi Acergy, valued at $85 million to $105 million.
The 18-month minimum arrangement should take effect in first-quarter 2025 upon completion of the vessel’s current commitments.
Skandi Acergy, built in 2008, has a 400-t crane, a 2,000-sq-m deck and two ROV systems that DOF will operate under the contract.
In addition, DOF Group has clinched another agreement with Maersk Supply Service to charter in the construction vessel Maersk Installer on a two-year firm time charter starting at the end of first-quarter 2024, with options for an extension.
The DP3 vessel, delivered in 2017, is said to be one of the most modern subsea vessels on the market, with one 400-t AHC crane and one 100-t AHC crane for use across its 1,850-sq-m deck. DOF Group plans to offer it to clients worldwide.
