NEW YORK— A mechanical issue impacting production on the FPSO Liza Destiny on the Stabroek Block offshore Guyana has been resolved, partner Hess said in its latest results statement.
Repairs were completed by the operator in October and output has since recovered to 150,000-160,000 bbl/d.
A third development, Payara, with a production capacity close to 220,000 bbl/d, will come onstream before year-end 2023.
Hess added that the recent Lancetfish-2 appraisal well on the same block delivered 125 ft of net oil pay in appraisal reservoirs and 65 ft of net oil pay in a new discovery interval.
The well was drilled in 5,649 ft of water, 4 miles southeast of the Lancetfish-1 discovery well.
