HELSINKI, Finland— LNG Hrvatska has commissioned Wärtsilä to extend the capacity of the regasification system installed on the LNG Croatia FSRU by adding a new regasification module.
The 280-m-long vessel serves as Zagreb-based LNG Hrvatska’s LNG terminal on Krk Island in Croatia.
It should increase the terminal’s capacity by 212 MMcf/d, helping to position Croatia as an energy hub for the region.
Ivan Fugaš, managing director of LNG Hrvatska, stressed that the existing Wärtsilä regasification had been both efficient and reliable.
In addition to the new regas train, Wärtsilä will perform the engineering for the capacity conversion with the new equipment to be installed in summer 2025.
