TRIESTE, Italy – Fincantieri subsidiary Vard has signed a contract with Edda Wind to construct four new commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs).
Deliveries will be staggered between first-quarter 2025 and first-quarter 2026. The total contract is about Eur250 million ($266 million).
In addition, Edda Wind has secured options for up to four further CSOVs at the same contract prices, with deliveries in 2025 and 2026, if declared.
Last month, Ulstein Shipyard contracted Vard Electro to supply its SeaQ Communication system to two CSOVs under construction for Olympic, with planned delivery in the first half of 2024.
The package includes systems for communication, welfare, security and IT racks.
